Our story

About Us

In an increasingly noisy world, where modern media regularly offers shallow, Christless narratives that drown out the deep truths of faith, Our Lady Films emerged with a divine purpose: to create soul-piercing films that place Christ at the center and move hearts toward God.

Founded by Richard Mauro, an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, alongside his talented sons Joshua and Luke Mauro, this ministry seeks to reshape the film world that has long sidelined the beauty and truth of Christian storytelling. They felt the hunger for audiences longing for stories that not merely entertain but resonate with truthfulness and spiritual vitality. With a passion for making films and a clear calling, they set out to change the narrative.

Their journey began with ‘A Great Day,’ a moving film that captured the beauty of the sacraments, particularly reconciliation and the anointing of the sick. In their first two months, it quickly garnered attention, gaining over 650,000 streams in more than 50 countries and earning multiple prestigious awards. Following the success of A Great Day, they are launching the Florida Martyrs Film Series, beginning with The Silent Song, a film honoring the missionaries and native converts who gave everything for Christ.

Our Lady Films understands the struggles of both the artist and the audience, recognizing how deeply faith can be bruised within an industry often indifferent to its powerful message. Their mission surpasses mere filmmaking; it’s about building a community that actively supports evangelization through film. They not only make captivating visual stories; they invite viewers to engage with the movement through these simple steps: Watch their films for free, Support their ministry through prayer or donations, Host screenings to share the message with others, and Share the films online to amplify their impact.

In a time when faith is frequently diluted or excluded, Our Lady Films is committed to restoring truth and beauty in media by putting Christ back in the spotlight. Our Lady Films serves as a conduit, much like the Virgin Mary, bringing Christ to the center of society and encouraging everyone to experience spiritual renewal and a closer connection with their faith—all through the transforming power of film.

Our Mission

Our Lady Films is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to restoring truth and beauty in media by putting Christ back in the spotlight. In a world saturated with media that often distorts truth and erodes virtue, we exist to bring light back into the heart of cinema.

Through the art of film, we fund and distribute stories that proclaim the truth of Christ and the teachings of His Church—stories that renew hearts, strengthen families, and inspire hope. Our mission is to reclaim modern media for God’s glory by creating works that reflect beauty, goodness, and moral clarity.
